A SHIP IN THE WOODS presents, GREY MATTER, an intimate day retreat and public art/music event in the evening. GREY MATTER discusses the impetus of stress, challenges and disconnection. Alternatively it unveils ideas on how we can overcome and champion a peaceful state of mind. Julie Potiker author of the book, Life Falls Apart, But You Don't Have To and other guest speakers will present current mindfulness techniques and more that have been proven to help improve ones outlook. The show additionally illuminates the neuroscience that also examines how mindfulness and other techniques positively affect the grey matter in our brain that can change our focus, attention and over all health. The audience is invited to explore interactive installations, experience nature, the winding paths, sounds of Oak Creek, while being an observer of their present state of mind.  In addition the retreat includes healthy food and drinks. During this day event the audience can reconnect to others as they continue their own journey with a new resolution for the new year.  The day will end with a public art/music event featuring the band wsprgrl.
