I teach Mindful Methods for Life to groups, individual, and organizations. These skills help people handle difficult situations with more equanimity. When you feel bad about something, you notice the feeling in your body; then you realize you are not alone in this feeling so you feel less isolated; then you use one of the 25 techniques that I have taught you to soothe yourself so that you feel more comfortable with what ever the pain or suffering is that is causing your distress. It won't make the situation go away, it will change how the situation effects you in your body so that you feel better. - Julie Potiker
