Not Nothing Projects serves as a supportive and motivating source for community engagement, arts education, and artist development.

Through the lens of contemporary art, Not Nothing Projects works to advocate for the promotion of divergent thinking, creative problem solving, and social justice. By exploring mediums and concepts including and beyond the realm of traditional art practices, Not Nothing Projects and WSOHOIDPS work to provide a safe space for artists young and old to explore their creativity.

Stay tuned for classes, workshops, camps, and critiques that are inclusive and thought-provoking.

Your ideas are valid and deserve to be shared. Your work is not nothing. It’s something.

Inspired by the natural environment of Felicita Park, and the world renowned eco-artist Alan Sonfist, campers will be immersed in the idyllic setting of two and a half acres at A SHIP IN THE WOODS for an inquiry-based project involving research, collaboration and investigation of their impact on the natural environment. Using organic materials to construct their own versions of a “Secret Garden,” campers will create symbolic messages around the ideas of shelter, nature, protection, and environmental impact. Photography, sketching, blogging, landscape design, construction, science, and math come together to create a stimulating summer experience.
